The process word block is divided into two blocks

each of 16 bits, which always come in the sequence

stated.

Conversion:

The different attributes for each parameter can be

seen in the section on factory settings.

Since a parameter value can only be transferred as a

whole number, a conversion factor must be used to

transfer decimals.

Example:

Parameter 201: minimum frequency, conversion

factor 0.1. If parameter 201 is to be set to 10 Hz, a

value of 100 must be transferred, since a conversion

factor of 0.1 means that the transferred value will be

multiplied by 0.1. A value of 100 will thus be

understood as 10.0.

from a master (e.g. a PC) to a slave (VLT 6000 HVAC).

Bits 00 and 01 are used for choosing between the

four pre-programmed references (parameters 211-

214 Preset reference) in accordance with the

following table:

NB!:

Parameter 508 Choice of preset reference is

used to choose how bits 00/01 are to be

gated with the corresponding functions of the

digital inputs.

Bit 02, DC BRAKE:

Bit 02 = 0 leads to DC braking and stop. Set braking

current and duration in parameter 114 DC braking

current and in parameter 115 DC braking time. Note:

Parameter 504 DC brake is used for selecting how bit

02 is to be gated with the corresponding function of

terminal 27.
